Newegg has lowered the price of the ABS Stratos II Ruby pre-built gaming PC by $450, bringing the total cost to $2,549.99. The system combines an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card and 32GB of DDR5 memory. Tom's Hardware identifies this specific configuration as the least expensive RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC currently available on the retailer's site.
The ABS brand is owned by Newegg, which accounts for the wide availability of its systems on the platform. The retailer anticipates that the offer will sell out rapidly. The processor inside the case is an eight-core chip that utilizes AMD's 3D V-Cache technology to expand the L3 cache to 96MB. This increased cache size reduces the frequency with which the processor must access slower system memory, a change that lowers latency and helps maintain stable frame rates.
Tom's Hardware notes that while the Ryzen 7 9800X3D no longer holds the top position in its CPU benchmarks, it remains very close to the leader. The outlet states that no Intel processor matches an X3D part for gaming performance. On the graphics side, the RTX 5070 Ti is a current-generation Nvidia Blackwell card equipped with 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 video memory. It is designed for mid- to high-tier performance in 1440p and 4K gaming and supports Nvidia's DLSS feature, including multi-frame generation.
In practical terms, the card can handle 4K gaming with ray tracing in current titles. Users should expect to utilize top graphics presets, though adjustments may be necessary in the most demanding games at 4K resolution. The 16GB of video memory provides more capacity than the 8GB found on the lower-end RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 cards. The system includes two 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB modules running at 6,000 MT/s for memory. Storage consists of a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD with Gen 4 speeds, a capacity that allows for multiple large game installations.
The build includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ethernet for connectivity. The processor is cooled by a Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler. Tom's Hardware described the price as strong for the current market, citing both the $450 discount and the specific pairing of the 9800X3D and RTX 5070 Ti.
