Jay-Z has officially secured the slot to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2027. The performance will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This marks the first time the rapper has booked himself as the headliner for the event.

Roc Nation, Jay-Z's company, serves as the production partner for the NFL halftime show. The firm has produced the event continuously since 2019. As the principal decision-maker for the performance, Jay-Z selected his own name for the bill.

The NFL has not yet announced which teams will compete in the championship game. That information will be available on the final day of the regular season in January 2027. The uncertainty extends to the guest lineup, as no collaborators have been formally announced to date.

Industry observers identify four individuals with strong historical ties to Jay-Z as likely candidates for special guest spots. Beyonce, his wife of nearly eight years, is considered a primary option. The two have shared the stage on multiple tours and recorded numerous tracks together, including "Crazy in Love" and "Drunk in Love."

Beyonce has extensive experience on the NFL stage. She performed at the 2016 Super Bowl alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. She also sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2001 and headlined a special halftime show in Houston on Christmas Day 2024.

Rihanna represents another strong possibility. Jay-Z discovered her in 2005 while serving as CEO of Def Jam Records. She later moved to Roc Nation in 2010. The two artists collaborated on songs such as "Umbrella" and "Run This Town." Rihanna joined Jay-Z on stage at Yankee Stadium earlier this year and headlined the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.

Two other names frequently mentioned are Blu Ivy Carter and Eminem. Blu Ivy, Jay-Z and Beyonce's oldest child, has already performed as a dancer on an NFL stage during the 2024 Houston event. She also joined Beyonce for the Cowboy Carter tour. Eminem, known for his collaboration on "Renegade," appeared as a guest on Jay-Z's current tour and performed at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.
