McKee leads Eagles against Cowboys in winless division week
Both teams are 2-4 and have not won in two weeks, a historic streak that keeps the NFC East title race open.

The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles face off Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field.
Both squads hold 2-4 records. The NFC East has gone two weeks without a single win, a first for any division since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.
The New York Giants lead the division at 3-2-1. The Cowboys and Eagles trail by only a game and a half, keeping their divisional hopes alive despite recent slumps.
Philadelphia enters Monday on a four-game losing streak, its first such run since 2020. The offense has stalled, scoring just 58 points across those four losses. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve with blood clots and is expected to miss the rest of the season. That puts Tanner McKee in the starting role.
McKee made two previous starts after the Eagles had already secured playoff berths. Last week’s loss to Carolina marked his first meaningful start. He had only two days of first-team practice before that game. This week, he has a full practice week with first-year offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. McKee said he feels he has a good preparation process and plans to meet with the coaching staff more often rather than preparing alone.
The Eagles’ running game is also depleted. Saquon Barkley is out with a hamstring injury, though a return is possible. Backups Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby are also hurt. Carson Steele, signed from the practice squad last week, injured his shoulder in the Carolina game. Dameon Pierce was the only running back to carry the ball last week, rushing for 35 yards. Dallas allows 4.7 yards per carry this season.
The Cowboys have their own struggles. They rank 30th in the league in defense under first-year coordinator Christian Parker. The offense scored only 29 points in its last two losses, including a 23-13 defeat to Green Bay last week. The team has scored fewer than 20 points in consecutive starts by Dak Prescott for the first time since 2019.
Owner Jerry Jones said at the NFL’s annual fall meeting on Wednesday that he does not expect further coaching changes this season. He described the recent hiring of defensive assistant Mike Pettine as strategic and unique.
Several individual milestones are in play. Javonte Williams has seven rushing touchdowns through the first six games, the second-most in Cowboys history behind Emmitt Smith in 1994 and 1995. CeeDee Lamb has 48 receptions, third in the NFL and a franchise record through six games. He is close to 8,000 career receiving yards. Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert needs one catch to move into third place on the franchise’s career receptions list.
Dallas is favored by 4 points. The Cowboys are 3-3 against the spread, while the Eagles are 1-5. Dallas leads the all-time series 72-58 and won the last meeting 24-21 on November 23, 2025. Kickoff is at 7:15 p.m. CST on ESPN. The Eagles play at Washington on November 1, then host the Giants to conclude their divisional stretch.
