Fantasy NBA: Jerome hot, Green cold
Early-season data suggests Ty Jerome is a trade candidate while Draymond Green should be dropped immediately.

Ty Jerome scored 45 points against the Utah Jazz on opening night. The Memphis Grizzlies guard followed that performance with 28 points and five assists against the Golden State Warriors. He is rostered in 89.7% of ESPN fantasy leagues. His current high value makes him a prime target for trade offers now. The article suggests moving him for struggling veterans like Trey Murphy III or Brandon Miller. Jerome is facing weak opponents early, which inflates his stats. Sustaining this shooting pace for a full season will be difficult for him.
Dennis Schroder provides a low-cost option on the waiver wire. Only 9.7% of managers have him on their rosters. He recorded 25 points, six rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers against the Miami Heat on Saturday. His production relies on Coby White remaining out with a calf strain. Schroder offers points and assists but lacks steals and blocks. Managers should drop him once White returns to the court.
Jalen Smith is the most consistent big man for the Chicago Bulls. He has scored between 14 and 15 points in each of his first three games. He averages 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He has made four three-pointers in his last two contests. The Bulls are thin at center, with Zach Collins and Tobe Awaka seeing minimal playing time. Smith is projected to play about 25 minutes per game. He is available in 77.2% of leagues, making him a strong pickup target.
Myles Turner is struggling in Milwaukee. He scored zero points in Saturday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. He averages 7.7 points and 4.3 rebounds over three games. Kel'el Ware is gaining momentum and pushed Turner to just 20 minutes of play on Saturday due to foul trouble. Ware recorded 19 points, 13 rebounds, a steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in 29 minutes. Turner remains the starter but is an easy lowball trade target if Ware continues to improve.
Onyeka Okongwu has failed to find rhythm for the Atlanta Hawks. He has not scored more than 10 points or grabbed more than six rebounds in any of his three games. He recorded his first block and steal of the season on Saturday. His production is limited by the strong starts of Jalen Johnson, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, CJ McCollum and Aaron Wiggins. Okongwu is rostered in 80% of leagues. Managers should consider offering him in trades before his production potentially improves.
Draymond Green is the strongest candidate to drop from fantasy rosters. The 36-year-old has scored just seven points in two games. He has two blocks, one steal and one three-pointer total. He sat out the second night of a back-to-back on Saturday. The Golden State Warriors are struggling competitively, and both Green and Stephen Curry are taking rest days. His production does not justify a roster spot in most leagues. Managers should drop him for Jalen Smith, Yaxel Lendeborg or Wendell Carter Jr.
